Reader's Bench

FAQ
Shared documents are imported to the 'Imports' folder under Reader's Bench app folder either on your device or iCloud based on your device configuration.
'Imports' folder is automatically created when you install Reader's Bench. This is where pdf files are imported if you share pdf files from other apps.
When a pdf file is first imported, Reader's Bench will try to import any existing annotations in the file and convert data into Reader's Bench document format. The progress bar shows its progress of it. This is only a one-time process, and depending on the size of the pdf and existing annotations, it may take a while. However, you can start reading and annotating the document since this is a background process.
If search is enabled, annotations in review are also filtered based on the search keyword. When the search is cancelled or cleared, all annotations will appear again in the review.
If you cancel export/print while Reader's Bench is preparing export/print, Reader's Bench will clean up any remnant cache, which may take a while. The button will be re-enabled as the cleanup is completed.
Images or text can be dragged from another app to Reader's Bench's PDF document or note view. When you add images and text to a Note, Reader's Bench creates image or text annotations on the current PDF document page and links them to the note view. If the PDF document view is not opened, images or text will not be inserted into the note.
